I went somewhere!!

This weekend finding ourselves with a little extra time for party planning, (no prob Jenny, it was a good thing!!) Lindsay, my niece, offered to take me, her mom (my twin sister), and her sister Vauri to get a pedicure, her treat!! The "her treat" part was very attractive to me and I'd never had a pedicure before and thought it would be fun to give it a try.

The funniest part to me was that Lindsay and Vauri's first thought after we got to the salon was that this would be a great thing for me to blog about!! Vauri took some pictures, so here we go!!

I have to say I was quite nervous about going, I'm always a little nervous about new experiences but it was something I've wanted to do and since I was with our "party posse" I knew I would be in good company. (plus did I mention Lindsay was paying, thanks again babe!)

We got there and picked out our nail polish.....so many choices, I picked a conservative mauve/pink. Vauri picked a light pink in honor of her baby girl due in four weeks! Jan picked a bright "80's" pink in honor of her new sexy bod! (I said it, she didn't) Lindsay prefers the clear polish and white tips of a French Manicure.

We sat on the vibrating chairs and put our feet into the whirlpool baths. (I would go again just for that!) I was immediately embarrassed because I hadn't shaved my legs in quite some time. (now, before you get too grossed out, I don't have much hair on my legs and what I do have is blonde and very soft) Unfortunately the embarrassment didn't end there.

I wish I had asked the women’s name who was doing my pedicure but I didn’t, so I’ll call her Cindy. Cindy deserved a metal of honor working on my feet. She was scrubbing her heart out with the pumas stone. (My feet are famous in my family for being so rough on the bottom. William used to stick straight pins in the bottom to see how long it would take before I felt the pin) Cindy even had to resort to putting some kind exfoliating gel on my feet and wrapping them in warm towels (it felt great) and then continue scrubbing them.

I loved the massage part of the pedicure, but it was way too short, and I was way too nervous to sit back, close my eyes, and really enjoy the relaxation of it all. Next time I will!!

Cindy did a great job with my nail polish and I loved admiring them while we waited for the nail polish to dry.

I have to really thank Lindsay for that special treat!! It is definitely something I am going to put into our family budget.

That kind of spoiling is something I can get used to!!
(not sure why we all looked scrunched over in this picture)

The Latest

I wasn't sure I wanted to bother with doing a blog, my life doesn't seem that interesting. But after seeing Gina, Vauri, and Brieanne's blog, I decided it would be something fun and somewhat creative to do.

Our house is pretty full at the moment. I, of course, love it! I love the days where everyone is home and we are all around laughing and joking. The best is when we play games like Apples to Apples.

Of course my favorite things to do is play with my grandson Eli! He is so cute and so much fun. I love it the most when he first wakes up and is all snugly in his jamies. I also love it when we watch TV, like "Yo Gabba, Gabba" together. And boy does Eli love his grandpa. They have so much fun together. I'm not sure who will miss Eli more, when they move, Ed or me.
